The term R-Compound is actually an arbitrary label. It is a purely colloquial term. I feel it effectively encompasses tires which are purpose built for racing, but still meet DOT guidelines: like the Toyo RA1 and R888.
Times are not broken out by 'street tires' as that term has not been defined within the context of Lap Attack!. For most sanctioned events in the US, the cutoff falls somewhere between 80 and 300 UTQG. It important to note that nearly all modern sports cars come from the factory with something in that range. I think you can quickly see why so many race series declare a spec tire... And how the SCCA autocross definition of "Street Tire" became a major opportunity for companies like Hankook and Azenis.
So... without knowing your definition of "street tire" and based on the event times for cars I've personally tech'd, I'd say 1:10-1:13 is a representative range. If I were you, I'd focus on similar cars but the sample size is rather small. There were two other Miata's at the last event. A nearly bone stock Miata was dropping 1:15's. The 275 A6 Hoosier'd Miata was turning consistent 1:09's or better.

Suggestion: Putting your top up could be worth a half second but I can understand how it diminishes the fun.

I forgot to call out Kevin motoring the GTR around PGP. Holy crap did he make stupid fast look easy. The other AWD guys brought paper knives to an artillery fight.

Good plan. The seat will greatly improve the chassis feedback immensely. It will make driving fast sooooo much easier.

Hey Jerry - any chance the results will be posted anywhere (MyLaps, etc)?
According to my laptimer, I had 3 laps in the 1:09's with a best of 1:09.6. This was good enough for 3rd place RWD behind the Atom and Z06. However, Bob Bundy was running a 1:08.8XX in his Turbo Miata and should have taken 2nd place but his transponder fell off and he didn't get a time for one session.
N.L.: not sure what the fastest street tire guys were running but I've lapped in the 1:13's on my RE070's before I had a supercharger. I think RT was running 1:13's or 1:14's on street tires in his GT-R. I'm guessing these are still some of the top street tire times from what I've seen.
I usually run top up for track events to reduce drag and improve airflow to the wing. At PGP speeds, I don't think it really matters. Not a very controlled test but, I just ran my fastest laps at PGP by 0.5 seconds with the top down compared to the majority of my laps with the top up. I'm sure top up is faster but I'll bet it's insignificant.
