You would likely be the only squirrel there. The secret squirrel action is somewhere else

Is it now???

June 11th at 5pm is the Lap Attack! event. $85 for the competition.

No events are currently reserved during the day though. Expect that some of the drivers will book sessions for car lapping from 9am to 4pm, Secret Squirrel style. Call ahead to see if you can get in. $75 for a half day. Though you may as well stay for the competition if you show up for lapping.
this was copied from the lapping day thread. if jerry is referring to it as the "secret squirrel style" then i would tend to believe it.

that said, i have never been good at picking up on inside jokes, so my interpretation may be slightly off.

Hows that clutch? if you are having trouble with the wrench who did it, and can't get him to do it right, you could always bring it by the shop i work at. i can't promise that we would give you a killer deal, or that my manager would be willing to do it, partially cause we are just a humble full service tire shop. but worst case, if we couldn't do it we would send you to a shop less than a mile away, that we sent stuff to when either we don't have the time or equipment for. they are a great shop and the owner is a good honest guy.

another thanks to the guys at pgp, and jerry for putting this on. i know i had a great time, even though the RWD class was waaaaaay to competitive. i still can't believe that the atom put down a 1:06.XXX.

myself, i ran 1:18.1, which was my personal best. its not great, but i don't think that it is too bad for a miata on street tires whose only mod it coil overs. i am not positive but i think that i was near the top of the people on non r-comp street tires. in my eyes r888's and RA1's are r-comps. (its the only way that i can feel good about myself.)

I was on street tires to and after being on r comps forever, I have to agree that it was pretty weird. I could manage one lap if I took my out lap easy, I had to coast on the second because my tires greased up, then I could get another flyer in on the 3rd. I think I did a 1.17 CcW and 1.17 or 16 cw. Not my best day of driving for sure but I had a lot of fun and will be at the next one if I can fit it in to the schedule

and luder, I have some RA1's from my SM laying around. Im not sure how many cycles they have on them but they should be decently fast. They're down to a full slick

Spare yourself the confusion, those are R-compounds.

^ i consider them to be r-comps, but i also know that there are many people who would argue them to be street tires. if nothing else, because they are road legal. at least as long as they are not shaved.

speaking of which, i picked up a set of brand new r888's and a set of shaved and usedc RA1's form a guy on craigslist. for $500, i figure that even if the RA1's have seem too mane heat cycles and are crud, i still go a set of brand new r888's for at least $150 less than i could get them for anywhere else that i have seen. god bless spec miata guys.

jerry or anyone else, do you know what the fastest times for guys on street tires were? it sounds like misterwaterfallin has me beat by about a second, but i would be curious if he was the fastest, or who was.

oh and misterwaterfallin i'm always looking for tires if you are looking to offload.
