the fronts are still fine, all i need are new rears...

Neither of those sizes seem correct to me. OEM size is 225/50. 245/45 is pretty close to that, too. Why do you think it seems "short"? Do you have any other mods on the drivetrain?

The sizes I've run for many years are 205/55R16 front and 245/45R16 rear. That seems to be the sizes you are running now.

So I ask again, what's the problem?

It seems you don't understand staggered tire sizes. My advice is to meet up in person with someone who does, like at a Taco Tues or something, and chat about it.

If you have any doubts or questions about how tire sizes work just google any tire size calculator and it will give you any specs you need to figure out you optimal tire sizes.

Either a 225/50 or 245/45 are close. Not sure how the RS2s are made, but for most tires the 245/45 is a better choice.
