i seem to be breaking people's necks because everyone seem to stare at me while im driving... always driving with the top down.

you put the reminder of our 1st time ing over to Leavenworth together and on the return it started coming down in Stevens... everyone pulled over to pull the top up but our Tedster [ die hard ] that had heated seats

AWD doesn't help if you're slowing to a stop or rounding a corner.
I will agree that cornering with neutral throttle is the same, but stopping with 4wd/awd IS improved. With FWD/RWD the front tires will always lock first under braking. With AWD/4WD all four wheels are essentially locked together. This is why if you pull the e-brake with 4WD to slide the rear end, it doesn't work. It simply locks all four wheels. So 4WD helps with braking, because it gets the most out of all four wheels before locking.

As far as cornering, it may apear to be better because with FWD/RWD if you prress the gas a little too much you will under/oversteer, where in awd if takes much more "ham-fisted" inputs to cause such issues.


Having AWD two years ago and now driving RWD, AWD is much easier to drive, and easier to pull out of a slide since you have the front wheels to pull the front back on line.

I will still say that with good snow tires any car can be driven in the snow.

lost the front fiberglass lip on the wifes subie when trying to avoit another car...and smashing into a curb...awd will help u move forward...but will not help you stop!!
