Extend your drive and meet up with the Portland Group. We are doing the Windy Ridge (Mt. St. Helens) drive on that same day. It is a great drive from Seattle, at least once you exit the Interstate, and is the views are incredible.

The only downside is that we are going to try and get going pretty early from PDX to try and beat some of the slower traffic.

I like the Mt. Rainier trip better, less miles for us northerners.

My S has not been out of the garage since the coast trip, it needs some exercise.

The Portland guys are having a meet the 14th. I am driving down for the BBQ portion of the day, but in the morning they are driving around Mt. St Helens. Just an Idea.

Sounds like this may have to develop into a simultaneous circumnavigation of two of Washington's beautiful mountains. Maybe we meet in the middle at Morton, WA. and say Hi.

I'll be doing the Rainier portion. Sounds like leafblower is in for this portion also. Any other takers for the Rainier loop? Rain or shine. (unless the storm has a name)

Brant, I have a seat available.

James, I might just take you up on the empty seat. I actually saw Eric Nguyen (enguyen) from Portland at a wedding this weekend and I've also been invited down to the BBQ in Portland. I MAY drive down there on Friday and do the St. Helens loop...I'm still not sure...

How about a Mt. Rainier drive that ends up in Portland for the BBQ?
