Earlier in the week, I called the local Honda dealership about the TSB. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone by doing an oil change and (as a long shot) get the TSB resolved before the big drive in August.

They looked the TSB up in the computer, confirmed my car is in the list, and went ahead and ordered the parts (the local service department rocks!!!). Told me to check every so often to see if the parts come in.

Since I am the first to call on it, the ball should be rolling for other S2000 owners in the area.

I talked to lynnwood honda about the spark plug kit and they have the service bulliten but told me it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get them in. I am planning trip up to Canada in a week the service tech said that if the original crush rings would not allow the tighter torque the loose plug(s) would miss fire but at 30000 miles if it had not happened I shoud be ok hummmmm

I found out about the SB while reading the postings on the S2KI site from SteveUCI he said it is dated july 10th TSB #02-042 thank him for this important info so then I called lynnwood honda on july 18th and asked the service tech and he said yes indeedy we have that SB. I figureed that as long as I mention the problem and get it on record before my warrenty runs out it will be warrenty work. mudd

Don't take it to Lynnwood Honda!!! Lynnwood Honda doesn't no sh!t. Most incompetant idiotes I have ever come across (personal experience). Try Honda of Bellevue if you want any work done on your S2000!

Also, you could torque your spark plugs to 18lbs. NOW! I have and many others have as well. Mine had #3 and #4 spark plug loose when I checked it at around 3000 miles.
