S2000 as a daily driver in the Seattle area

My subjective analysis is that more people use the car as daily driver than not. Snow and heavy rain are rare occurances so there really isn't a significant reason to not drive the car. I would recommend winter tires from November to April but they are not necessary.

Unfortunately, it takes practice for the S2000 to learn to be a daily driver up here. I suggest that when you get here you loan your car to me. I'll daily drive it for a few months, checking it out and making sure it knows how to handle the harsh rainy weather. Once the car has learned the ropes, I'll return it to you, good to go.

Mine has been my daily driver since I bought it, almost four years ago. I use Blizzaks on stock AP1 wheels in the winter; it's much safer that way, and the car will go though anything Seattle will throw at you with that setup, if you drive in an appropriate fashion.

If you're living in Seattle proper, it's no problem. If you're further north (Everett, B-ham) or east (Issaquah, 
mamish) you may run into snow a bit more frequently.
With the right tires*, you will never run into problems from a lack of grip. Idiots in SUVs are another story.
