Quincy, WA
Hi guys, I am planning a trip to Quincy, WA in a couple of months and wanted input on what the drive is like and how far it is. It is a fairly scenic route or not really? I am going to see if it's worth it to go to that music festival in May.

It's a little over 2 hours from Seattle (160 miles), and is on I-90 most of the way (pretty, but kinda boring). You could also get there by taking Highway 2 from Everett, which is a little more fun, and still really pretty, or by heading through Manning PP and crossing the border at Osoyoos, then heading south on Hwy 97. I'd take either of those routes over I-90 if I had the time, but they do take a bit longer (especially the last one).
Check them out on Google Maps.

Depending on the season, those other routes have a tendency to get snowed in, too. Should be good in May, though.
Quincy is boring as, well, the midwest. It's flat, it smells funny, and there's not much there. The drive on I-90 is interesting in a few places (dropping into the Gorge, climbing back out, and then heading up towards Snoqualmie Pass). It's not very interesting the 2nd time you do it though. US2/WA28 is prettier and more interesting. That route is probably ~1 hour longer than I-90.

Yeah, the only thing I'm not sure about is if they keep the road through Manning open (I think so, but nothing that a quick search wouldn't tell you), which would make any of the three fine in May.
Barring any freak snowstorms, of course.

I had to finally use Google to figure out where this Osoyoos place is.
I have no idea where you are coming from -- you never said. Vancouver area?
Depending on whether the highway is open, US20 (The North Cascades Highway) is very scenic. But you said you will be travelling in "a couple months". Highway 20 is usually open by sometime in April or early May, but not always. And when it opens it doesn't always stay open. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Traffic/Passes/Nor...surehistory.htm

I guess it would help if I said where I was traveling from haha. Yes, I will be departing from Vancouver. The festival is in May, so I think I should be okay. Then again, we also got snow in the last couple of days.

Even from Vancouver, I90 *might* still be the fastest way, but it would probably be a wash between I90 and US2.
I suspect US20 would be the best compromise between some added time and a lot of added scenery (assuming it's open). But I've never been on that other route through Manning PP, so I can't speak to it.

There's a festival in Quincy? WTF do they celebrate? Dirt?
Nevermind, just realized you're going to Sasquatch, which isn't *in* Quincy, just kinda sorta close to it.
I would take 20 through the North Cascades on the way there, then cruise/snooze I-90 on the way back.
