Default Question: should I fix my tire?

Last night I just found out that there is a screw or nail jammed in my rear right tire. The funny thing is I have no idea how long it has been there and I didn't notice any leaking since last night until now plus god knows how long is has been there.

In this case, should I still fix it? Should I fix something that is not a problem but potentially a future problem? Given a bad experience (or not) with Les Schwab like this:
I went there to fix a leaking front right tire and all other 3 tires are good. (at around 5 pm)
After I fixed it, drove home, the next morning, my front left tire has a very small crack on the sidewall which can not be fixed. I have to buy a new tire.

Given the time frame, I have to suspect that Les Schwab screwed something up. However, it is different tire, no point for them to do that intentionally, etc. But, humm... I don't know.

So, to fix or not to fix, that's the question.

What do you suggest? or where is a good place (i.e. reasonable price)

Thanks,
Eric.

I got my tires through Discount. Most of those places come with a warranty for blown tires and such. Afterall, my bro went through the same thing this past weekend for some 4x4 tires on his Tacoma. We took his truck to Discount and they repaired it free of charge. I guess it would all depend on where you originally purchase the tires.

Yes, get it fixed. Use some place like Discount or Les Schwab. It will cost you less than $25.

I had a tire patched at Discount just last month. That tire survived the crash just fine....

yep, i recently got a tire fixed for $17 (after taxes) at discount. if you fear that they will do something to the other tires (ala les schwab) then only take the wheel that needs to be repaired.

All I can say Is Discount Tire. I have went thru so many tire's and almost all have been fixed or replaced for free. Just remember to get the warranty it's very cheap and will save you major money in the long run.

Cool, I am going there now and I really appreciate your information.

Actually, I bought my tire at Discount Tire and it is still under warranty. I will see if they can fix it for free.

It happens that I still have the receipt in my car. Looks like everything is going well in subzero's land afterall.

Thank you soooo much....

If you bought it there, I'm pretty sure they do fix it for free.

ok, here is the result.

What happen is they found out my rear tire is bald anyways. Instead of fixing it, I might as well replace with a new one under warranty. How the warranty works is I just pay for whatever I used on the mileage.

Anyways, I end up paying $100 including everything for 2 brand new tires. Consider I use the old one for "performance driving", it wears out a lot faster than normal.

So, do you think I got rip off or I made the right move?

You got two new S-02s for $100? If so, you definitely did not get ripped off.
