Default question about shipping rims.

anyone shipped rims before? i need to ship out my rims with tires and trying to find out the best and cheapest way to do this. also where can i get some big boxes? i checked out fedex but it was just slightly smaller than what i needed.

Hey, I shipped out some 18" BMW rims and tires before. Went through UPS but any company should be able to ship them out for you. What I did was cut out circules of cardboard to cover your rims and part of the tire sidewall (I put two layers of cardboard on each side of each rim). Sandwich a styrofoam sheet between the rim and cardboard so the cardboard won't scratch your rims.

You can leave the tires exposed. The delivery driver can roll the wheels and not have to risk dropping them if they were in a box.

It cost me $120 for 4 17" with 205/45 non staggered from WA to MD.. almost 3 years ago.

I don't remember the exact amount, but I think it was around $150.

DHL sent a set of 14 inch wheels with tires from oregon to NY for me for 49.95.

they do have limit on ox size and i slipped in barely
