You're OK, Ray. They know you wouldn't be going fast enough to do anybody any damage anyway.
Might also explain why you guys seem to get these Don Kitch emails a full 24hrs. before me every time

Probably just because we've (recently, anyway) contributed more to the Kitch family Christmas fund.

If this were one week later I'd probably be going. I should be getting my car back in the next day or so, and then I still need to get an alignment and corner weight done on it. Here's the latest picture:

That's the last time we'll see the top down on Mike's car.

I saw the car a couple of weeks ago, and it's looking good. Mike, is Doug unable to align and/or corner weight the car?

I'm planning to go with the "breakaway" tack-welded look.

Top will still be removeable. Not sure how often that will happen, though. I had Doug cut off the hardtop side levers and weld a nut on in their place. The levers would have needed to swing through the bar.

I never even asked him about alignments. I'm figuring on going to Group2, they've always done a good job for me in the past.

I had to take a double take there. I thought I was seeing my car:

Doug can do alignment and corner balancing the old-fashioned string-and-bathroom-scales way. Good enough for DE / street use and presumably cheaper than getting it done at dedicated shop, but he's reluctant to do alignments for picky autocrossers who specify down to the 16th of an inch.

You have to have done a Proformance basic high performance driving school first, or otherwise convince them that you're safe on the track.
