pitbull and kids?

Its not true to all pits. One of my close friend lives in a house with 3 kids and they have one of the nicest pits. They brought it home when he was just couple months old and raised him to be more friendly than any other dogs out there.

A local dog trainer we know that works with border collies and australians, boards dogs, etc. Extremely dog knowledgeable. Got a doberman puppy and had a baby boy at the same time. When they were both 5 kid and dog were playing in the yard. Dog attacks kid for no apparent reason. Boy spends week in hospital and has several surgeries to put his face back together.
I have a border, a golden and a 15 month old daughter. Zero chance either dog would attack her, but we're still really careful because either could be provoked or startled into a bite.
Don't underestimate a dogs breeding. My border collie is proof of that. Some breeds are less reliable than others. My advice, don't get the pit bull.
