Default Panoz LMP-1 race car at Bison Creek Pizza this weekend

I think this is pretty cool! An American Le Mans Prototype race car built by Panoz for the ALMS race series, and will be at Bison Creek Pizza in Burien this weekend!

The last time ALMS was in the Pacific Northwest was in 1998 at Portland International Raceway. The Audi R8s were dominating that year and Panoz was having trouble with their new race car, so they benched their car and brought back their proven, yet older LMP-1. Portland was the first race they brought back the LMP-1 and won that race! Needless to say, they used it for the remaining season.

The showing of the LMP-1 in Burien will be in conjunction with the Formula One Canadian GP. Bison will open up early on Sunday morning to watch the GP starting at 8:30am. They will have a breakfast and lots of coffee! The Ferrari club usually makes it out to these things so it is like a small car show in the parking lot.

Anyone thinking about going?

Here is a picture of the LMP-1, though, I am not sure which paint scheme they will have at the Pizza place.

Here is the address to the pizza place:

630 SW 153rd Street #F

I forgot to mention the 24 hours of Le Mans is this weekend, which is why the LMP car is at Bison.

Bison is showing the 24 hours live on their big screen as well as Formula One.

If you are race fan, you can't get better than this!

I love the wheels. Looks like Kinesis K28 style.

But should they gave gone with those clear covers for the headlights? And does the wing make it look too ricey?

It's not ricey since the car and driver actually get paid to do this sort of thing unlike you

Now that is a race I need to see someday. Last year a bunch of GT S2000s and NSXs participated and one S2000 made it 11th place overall!

Only race where they have used three safety cars spaced 1/3 of the way around the track because it is too much of an advantage to close up a whole lap onto the leader.
