Default OK To Drive 19"s Through Snow?

So I've decided to drive up to Vancouver this year and understand it's snowing already! Anyway, will be driving the EVO up with the 19"s. DO you think this is a bad idea? Should I swap back into the 17"s? As you can see I'm a novice at driving through snow!

Stiff sidewalls, wide contact patches, and low profiles are next to useless in the snow, worse still on ice. 17's would be really good idea, especially if they have a narrower section width and large spaces between the tread blocks.
