I believe that the FAQ was written before there was a Vancouver subforum.

The PacNW badge rules are definitely more stringent than those of other regions. It's largely for our own protection as thefts and scams are rampant these days.

Only locals who have attended an S2ki meet are eligible for a badge

We're unique in a sense that we on our local board allow FS posts by non-paying guests with a PacNW badge.

Non paying members do not have the ability to sell on the main FS forum but it is a privilege we grant to badged members as it is a pretty tight group.

Bottom line:

If you just want a badge because you collect badges - it's not going to happen.

If you want a badge so you can sell stuff without having to pony up for a membership - you had better be local and attend an S2KI meet - not a Honda Tech meet.

Clear as mud?

Jerry would kill me if I badged you.

I'll have to buy you a drink or three instead.

Jerry and/or lig weren't there.

Don't worry guys, I'm setting a meet up soon and I'll send the details out and I'm sure they'll come out to it!

Not sure what type of meet your trying to organize John but here are a few good spots.

New Castle Beach Park is a good spot with a good amount of parking along with a bbq area. Had a honda-tech meet there a few years back.

Or maybe even a bonfire meet on Alki?? I believe a reservation with the city is required but there are quite a few spots by the Pegasus, tullys area where you can light it up right on the beach.

Jack Block park on Alki is also nice with enough parking for 40-50 cars. Very secluded, I can almost guarantee that it will be wide open.

Let me know if you need a hand.
