And I *never* said all rural white folks are all bad or even implied that they are in the majority.

I did say that there sure are some NASCAR fans that scare the shit out of me though!

One other thing: I'm so glad you didn't compare NASCAR to the Mariners.

Definately an overstatement, my apologies.

But I know a lot of very good people who go to NASCAR races who would take offense to being seen as racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.

I'll let you guys in on a little secret. Once I got drunk and went to a "Mud Bog and Tractor Pull" at the Kingdome. Pretty amusing.

You should go up to Evergeen Speedway sometime and watch the local boys race. I did it once, and it was rather fun. Much more fun than watching oval tracks on TV. And the Figure8 Schoolbus race was a trip. Best is the Hornets, though. Gotta go on a night when they run the Hornets.

My S2K did look a little out of place in the parking lot, though.
