That's a decent location, not really walking friendly other than over to Northgate.
Route 316 is nice if you work "normal" hours. Route 5 is slooooooooooow.

I'm a big fan of West seattle myself.
This one is right by the junction... I don't know about parking, but you can't have everything. If I was single and 22, I'd want to be within walking distance of some action.

Parking near the junction sucks. In that area, I'd make secure underground parking a requisite.
