Moving to Seattle

Hey JayJones, are you relocating to Seattle as well?
I used to live at the Sidney in Belltown. I paid $210 there for a tandem spot while we were renting. It worked out well as I got a corner spot. That's really on the cheap end for downtown parking. There's gonna be a real premium for anything underground and covered. Not to mention, a lot of the new building construction is being forced to limit parking spaces by the city, supposedly to force people to take public transit.
A few months ago we bought a place in Beacon Hill. Everything else this distance from the city was $250K more, and had no parking to speak of. In this neighborhood, I'm still about a 20 minute commute in, and have enough space for a 2 car garage.
Wherever you end up finding parking, only 2 recommendations: make sure it's not a surface lot, and has a limited access garage.
Jet - We still gotta meet up for lunch! Only two blocks away! PM me.

Yes I am trying to get a job over in seattle. I've had a couple of interviews just waiting for a call back in the next week or two.
Yes I've found parking is very pricy. Anywhere from $35-150 a parking spot underground in a secured parking garage. Doesn't mean the people who park next to you aren't shady though. Did you ever have any issues parking in a garage?
It's either live in town with no commute and pay out of my ass for a place, or live out of town and have a commute and maybe a little cheaper. I own a couple houses here in California (I've gotten lucky and im far from wealthy), I could sell them both and I still couldn't afford a house IN seattle. LOL.
