Probably new, but used isn't out of the question if the price is right.

I'll be taking the car back to Canada with me, so TCS is a very desirable option on the '06.

most of you talking about how bad the thieves are, you know, the authority is as bad in WA!!!! When you get your car broke in, or getting fender bender on private property. They will show up 3- 4 hours after you call, make sure that you have insurance, and announce... "that's what insurance for!!"
Actually my experiences with the Bellevue PD after was very positive. The did everything they reasonably could and took the time to answer all my questions. The even dusted the car for prints the first time.

The problem is that they can arrest a kid for car theft 8-10 times before they'll do any jail time. It's a pretty strong disincentive for the cops to go after them.

Looks like I don't have much parking choice other than parking in the work parkade (not too far away, but it would suck for getting groceries, etc) or moving.

Damn!
Too bad to read about all the problems Bellevue is having now with autos. I lived around there 20-something years ago, and back then, it was a very clean and a relatively safe city.
If this is corporate apartments like you say, I am willing to bet that your company could help you with a garage rental. Check out that possibility. But whatever, definitely avoid parking the S in an open space.
Is there a way that you could purchase a daily driver and store the S elsewhere?
