Default Moving to Bellevue on Saturday

I just got news of the place I'm living in -- it's a corporate housing complex very close to Microsoft.

Problem is, the parking situation is just a covered car port with a reserved spot. Is this an area you'd be comfortable parking an S2000? Or should I try to get parking in a garage somewhere?

Thanks,
Dave

Hmm hope I can get a garage there... Is it such a bad area that you absolutely would not park an S2k outside?

if you asked me a couple of years ago... would've been a diff answer, but based on other people's troubles... i'd park it in a secured garage, but of course that's not even a guarantee

i think a hardtop may help if you're into that sorta thing.

too many examples of slashed tops then access to innards u know how the story goes

It's just a car. Make sure your insurance covers break-ins, get seat locks and wheel locks, and park it where it's convenient. Why spend $200/month to park farther from home?

Considering how simple it is to defeat wheel locks, I wouldn't waste money on them. If you believe otherwise, I would be more than happy to give a demonstration.

The "nicer" the neighborhood, the more it is like a supermarket for car thieves.

I've lived there (Bellevue Meadows). In the short time I was there I had:

- My Integra GSR attempted stolen. Thieves got into the car and broke the steering wheel off the column, then ran.

- My Integra GSR stolen.

- My S2000 wheels attempted stolen. 14 of 20 Lug nuts removed. Some left on the ground.

If you care about your car, don't live there.

- Michael
