est on prices? what will we be getting?

so im guessing you just made a bracket, driled some holes and pop-riveted the brackets to the inside of the fender and side of the hood, curious on how you made the ball pivot bracket tho...

I am thinking about $45 + shipping if I got 5 people. It take one gas spring.2 modified Stainless Steel ball stud bracket.5 steel/alu rivets.2 precut clear protective film. You can do it youself with a right angle drill ,4.5mm high speed drill bit and a heavy duty hand rivet gun.It take about 30min.Or you can let the shop do it for you

Update.I just find out I can get some gas spring from where I work for very good price. With this gas spring I can put together a kit for $40.Only different is this gas spring only allow the hood open up to 75 degree .Not the 80 degree opening got on my car.But it is still very good compare with other aftermarket kit or stock hood opening at 45 degree.Anyone interest it can PM me.

does it twist the hood at all or put odd pressure on it due to the single prop?

No.The gas spring mount on ball socket. So it will rotate and twist in the socket when decompress. And a lots of car made are use single gas spring hood prop and trunk lift.Like audi ,volvo and other EUROPEN car.Only most of asian made car cut cost on stuffs like hood prop rod and metal spring on trunk lift.I am not reinvent anything new here.I just copy from other car manufacture to make it in our car
