HWY 410 drive!
So as I get nearer to being completed with my little project, I figured I would throw this out there for everyone. I love 410, mostly because on the other side is my own personal slice of heaven. I have a cabin approx, 20 miles from the top of Chinook pass. So from the start of my build it has been my plan to have this be my first mid-range trip. From my backyard it is 89 miles to my cabin, and 4 more to Whistling Jacks lodge/restaurant.
So this is my plan Saturday Augest 9, meet at in Kent at 10 am, we will leave at 10:30 sharp. Take a few backroads to get to 410 in Enumclaw, then head over directly to Whistlin' Jacks for lunch. Now here come the options
Either you can head back over with the others, or stay on that side with me and whoever else stays. We will go jump off some cliffs, go for a short hike to Boulder Cave, then head back to my cabin for BBQ/campfire dinner and some good ole' backwoods partying. If you want to stay the night there are 3 full size beds and a couch open, or you could always pack a tent.

We just came back down from camping on Mt Rainer and it would be a great drive top down. They are doing constuction near the bottom, before the turn up to crystal. I wasnt a big fan of the rocks all over the road from said constuction but other than that a run up to lake Tipsoo would be great. Given it is summer id guess leaving earlier would be better, dont want to get stuck behind an RV.

Ya, before 9 am would probably be a good idea, I think that construction was a short term projectand the backside is also cut down to one lane due to a landslide. But other b that it will be fun
