It's called a car loan, if you have good credit you can get one.

S2000s are available for relatively little now ($15k dragged out over 5 years is $300/mo) and a lot of young people have no qualms spending every penny they make on a car. Especially the ones who live with mom and dad (which is a great system, financially).
^^ What he said. When you live at home/don't pay rent, it's a lot easier to swing a $300/mo car payment. Also, it's not unrealistic to be making decent enough money in your early 20's to afford a $15k-$20k car. Prices, even on early AP2's are dipping into the range that all you young punk kids can afford!!! :::shakes fists:::: ....just joking, as already mentioned, I'm kinda in this crowd.

Heavily modified, new STi's though - that's a different story. Typically, there has to be some sort of "sponsorship" happening to be 17-18 with a new STi, S2000, etc.

Car payments are crazy talk.
I know right?

I live alone and payed my car cash in full. I was the fortunate school drop out landed a great job as an engineer.. Bought my first m3 when I was 19 incash hen my first ap1 cash and then my s2k ap2 cash.. I think some people think I'm snooting rich kid that gets what he wants. Yet I have no established family. I just work 24/7 and on my days off I work some more (side projects)

I'm 22 now I assure you I'm not a rich kid at alli just don't find how some people can buy somthing they have no money for? If you don't have enough fora 20,000$ car? Getting on a payment plan is not worth it at all.. Iv seen alot of my friends ruin there credit over it..

65 - and getting younger every time I drive my S. And just in case you think I am an old driver who doesn't appreciate a "real" car - I placed 2nd in class for the 2010 SCCA autocross season. I LOVE my S and drive it with passion!
