Default hot hot hot

Wow all this hot weather is nice but its so hot that I actually had to have my top up since I did forget my sunscreen. Heard tommorow will be about 100 so I'll probably keeping the top up. I paid for it the other day in sunburns I'm not washing my car in any of this heat and not going to the gym either. After a few min of cleaning my window I was sweating this afternoon. I need to be as lazy as possible this weekend and find some good CAIs

It's so hot, I'm afraid to leave the house. I just went to somewhere and it was too hot.

Stopped at Novus today to get a ding fixed in my Jeep windshield. The guy said every time it gets this hot they have a rash of cracked windshields from people washing their cars. Hot glass + cold water . . .

yep no way I'm washing my car in this heat!! How does hotness = cracked windshields? I did invisible glass my windshield one hour ago but it was a lil cooler and in the shade.

Thermal stress. Hot glass plus cold water has the same risks as cold glass plus hot water. Probably not enough to crack the glass unless it is already damaged, but sometimes damage you can't spot still is enough to be a stress concentrator.

Same sort of thing is why non-pyrex glass will crack in the oven.

Since my CRX was still down in Renton, I rode my bike down there this afternoon. Yes, at 1pm only mad dogs, Englishmen, and me were out there. Stopped at Cedar River Park and checked out the BMW Concours show, then went over to my office. Loaded my bike into the back of the CRX (not as fun, but it sure is more practical than the S) and drove home.
