Here is a look at a Alaskan Auto X...
I went to my first Autocross event since I made my move to Alaska in 2007 a couple weekends ago. It was a great time. I was really impressed with the Arctic Alaska Region SCCA. They sure know how to put on a great organized event.
This past weekend I went to the only Road Racing event in Alaska, Tanacross. It is held at a WWII built airport. The pavement was original and therefore really rough. We even had planes landing on the track during racing causing delays for racing. The event was poorly organized and was a waste of money - 95 bucks for 3 hot laps between my wife and I. So the lesson learned from this is stick with the SCCA in Alaska, and your guarenteed to have a good time!

Cool!
I'm sure there aren't too many S2s in Alaska, but when I was in Alaska earlier this month and saw a guy with a Suzuka AP2 in Juneau.

That track you raced on is a shitty track, from what i heard. I would never go up to AK to race in any event. Waste of time and money.

There are two s2's in Ak. One is a silver AP1 and my boy just picked up a white ap1 and brought it back to ak.

Second, if you lived in this state, you would drive any track shitty or not. Usually for me the drive takes about 6 hours through Denali to get to any venue. It sucks but thats the price I have to pay for living here.

Here's the car I saw in Juneau!
I wonder if it's the only one there? I guess there are not too many roads in Juneau that he could actually enjoy the car with.

That looks like the Suzuka I have seen several times in Fairbanks. It may be the same one. Of course then, I can't see someone ferrying there car just to see Juneau.
