Helmet recomendation
Looking to buy a helmet and looking for recommendations. I want to have my own helmet rather than borrow of the loaners from PGP. Best place locally to purchase one? It seems like trying one on rather than online would be the best way to get a good fit.
What about used helmets on craigslist? Would you trust a used helmet?

What I did was test fit in the store and then bought online cause it was cheaper. I purchased a Pyrotect sa2005 for $100 on the eBay closeout store. It's apparently a rebadged bell. Definitely feels like a $100 helmet though coming from a $500 shoei.

Never buy a used helmet unless you know its age and how it's been used. If a helmet is dropped hard, it should not be used again. This is not my opinion; this is the opinion of the experts. The last thing you want to do is cut corners or go cheap on a helment.

id kind of agree with all of this just a bit.
if you dont plan on using it alot just get something like a simple, open faced bell. If you are really goin for it and have some need, or are on tracks where a bad wreck is a possibility (cant get that bad at pgp honestly)then look into spending a little more.
id def. go to a local place and get fitted then order online to save a few bucks.
