Hi all,
Between a Mugen FRP hardtop and an OEM yellow hardtop, which one would you get if you owned a spa yellow s2k?
i definitely like the shape of the Mugen hardtop better, but the OEM one is only $2,000 and is painted.
Well, I'm not going to paint it even if i get the Mugen FRP... but anyways, what do you think i should get?
thanks,
Keith
p.s- how long did it take to receive if any of your has ever ordered one from Kingsports or Hardtopguy? thanks

i'd go with the OEM hardtop. why?
-lookswise, because your car has no supporting oem spoilers. if you get a fancy looking mugen top, it'll look awkward with your rather plain jane s2k body and small ass stock rims.
-if and when u sell the car, you'll get value easier out of the OEM top than the mugen fiberglass top and u don't have to go thru circles to explain to Bob and Jane that Mugen is an awesome japanese tuning company
-defroster and lined and painted
-you get the major discount from factory
why not mugen?
-if u don't paint the mugen frp, it'll look really ghetto. remember frp is not carbon fiber. so more money.
-no lining. so more money.
-no defroster . but who really cares i never use it anyway.
now the ideal situation if i was your s2000 outfitter would be... u got the cash to get the carbon fiber mugen top... and front lip, side skirt, rear, and bigger rims as one package. BOW how u like me now?
good luck, man. OEM hardtop all the way.

keith, are you an only child?
go talk to randy, parts manager, at honda of bellevue. tell him you're with the s2000 club and Ben sent you. be dramatic and tell him about all the shiz that's happened to u and he'll spit out a price. once he tells you the price, try and negotiate telling him if u don't come close to x price, you're just going to go with hardtopguy although you'd really like to start a relationship and get more business to them... just be honest with him.
comprende?
