A distinction without a difference.
You broke the law. You knew you were breaking the law. You got a ticket. You'd be happier if it were a moving violation?
Where's the beef, exactly?

Some people like to don the mantle of the morally superior parental figure on the interwebs
But seriously, I think he's just jaded cuz this gets posted way too frequently.

thanks honest abe....we all need your nice big cup of advice.
I hope this is the last of this sort of stupid thread (I know there will be lots of other types of stupid threads, but we've had too many of these already). Either use a front tag, or quit whining.

So not having a designated trash recepticle in the car is a moving violation? I don't know the answer here, but let's test the working theory.
I plead guilty and paid the fine.

Interesting way to go through life. You lie to a cop to try to get out of a ticket; you refuse to obey a law whose only inconvenience is that you think it makes your car less pretty, and (from the sound of it) you're going to whine and cry when you get the ticket.
Way to go.

and yes, ill go through life without a front plate and glady pay the price to play when i finally get nabbed for it. if breaking a minor traffic violation is my worst ill take it. ill make sure and high 5 all those DUI's/street racers/ect with front plates when i see them next.
when someone shows me that a front plate is good for anything but tax revenue then maybe ill change my tune and put it on, until then no thanks. its ugly and useless, no thanks.

Urban, I appreciate your efforts here; I really do.
But it's a loser. Anyone who can figure out how to make FI work on an S2000 can figure out how to hang a front license plate without impeding the air flow. And for a N/A S2000, the license plate is not an issue for overheating, even on the track.
This is just an odd, quixotic fight by people who need something to rail against. Which would be ok with me (since I don't care how many tickets you get, as long as they're not endangering other people), if only people would quit whining about the consequences of their actions.
