Default Getting from Bellevue to SeaTac airport

Hello PacNW,

I'm going to the Seattle area for a business trip and was wondering if anyone can tell me the cheapest way to get from Bellevue to SeaTac airport? Unfortunately this particular part of the trip won't be expensible since I'm going to Bellevue for dinner with a friend. Thanks for any advice.

Taxicab for about $30. Some of the local taxi companies even charge a flat rate for the service.

Awesome, that's not a bad rate for the taxi. Thanks a lot, Jerry!

Btw, roughly how far is Bellevue from SeaTac? I'll be heading to the airport in the evening during rush hour so I suppose traffic may impact travel time.

I haven't driven regularly in rush hour in over a decade so things are probably worse than I remember. Bellevue to Seatac should take 30 minutes without traffic. During rush hour it could take up to two hours. It heavily depends upon where you are starting from and exactly what time you are joining the traffic swell. Bellevue is rather large so its difficult to conscise without knowing your start point. Starting from South Belleve/Factoria-area could remove more than 45 minutes from a downtown to Seatac commute at peak hours.

Great info, thanks again Jerry. I'm supposed to be at the Hilton Bellevue on 112th Street, after which I'll probably be wandering around nearby until it's time to head to SeaTac. Hopefully there'll be stuff near there to check out. Thanks a lot for the advice, this info helps me out quite a bit.

Bellevue Hilton is a very nice hotel. Azteca Mexican restauraunt right next door (but NOT the S2000 PacNW Tuesday Tacos Azteca!). Approximately 30 minutes to/from SeaTac airport minimum, perhaps 60 minutes maximum at rush hour (no way it's 2 hours, unless Jerry is holding up traffic on I-405 again ).

Airport shuttle is cheapest, taxi recommended. See here:

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Don.
Hey, thanks for the info! I just got back from there (it was just an overnight trip) and it did indeed take 30 minutes to get from Bellevue to SeaTac during rush hour. Turns out that I could just expense it, so I just took a town car to the airport for $35. I was told that a town car might actually be cheaper than taking a taxi. Not sure if that's true, but all's well that ends well.

Thanks again for the tips you guys.
