gas... race gas... e85 gas
Just trying to see if anyone is running high octane gas.
Around seattle, i noticed that the highest octane you can find is 92. I wanted to see if anyone else knows a place where to get higher octane gas. I've seen a few turbo s2000 around and wondered how much power is everyone getting with 92 octane gas or are they using any other type of gas we can get locally in seattle. I noticed that on the turbo sections, everyone is using e85 gas but the northwest doesn't seem to have many places that sell. And finally there is race gas. I think its called c16 but much more expensive. Anyone know where to find it and how much it costs?

not running high octane, but there are stations out there that use non-ethanol laced gas. i personally really like that. theres only a few stations around the south end but there are more around seattle (im in kent and the closest one is in auburn).
search for the list in washington. its comparable in price to anything else really.

At 800whp 101 isnt going to cut it. Not unless you spray water/meth on top of that and your running sub 9:1 comp. Q16 is probably what your going to need if you cant get your hands on E85.
500whp on 92 is pushing the limits at stock compression.

I believe the upper 800 range has been done on pump fuel and 9:1, I'm 9:1 myself. Though I'd hate to see any lower than 9:1, things start to get past diminishing returns around 8.5:1
Not sure about WA but in Cali I could find VP leaded at the pump which is 106octane.
Still the setup would be MUCH better met at say 10:1 and then running racefuel when that extra power is needed because frankly it's not needed on the streets by any means.
I want to say DeadZero was making 678 or so on his street setup. Though he was spraying for his last 75whp and was higher compression unless he changed his setup from when I last saw his car. This is of course all prior to him totaling it out. ouch. I'm gonna have to do some reading to find out who was making big power on pump. I thought I recalled a few 600whp+ setups on straight pump though 91 octane cali crap at that.
