it may simply be because there isn't much potential (in terms of actual hp) in your mods, the stock stuff is designed pretty well. If you're looking to "optimize" your ecu, I'd suggest looking into a basic piggyback like the apexi VAFC2.

That's not necessary if you reset the ECU using the backup fuse. It's only required if you do it by disconnecting the battery.

Done it many times. It doesn't lock up the radio. It does clear out the CEL codes and reset the ECU.

I've also had the joy of letting the battery run down so far that the radio did lock up, and then I had to go find the dang code.

Maybe mines special then cuz I've also done it many times and it ask for the code each time.

Take out the back up fuse for a minute to reset the ecu.

I'm pulling the 30A one with the bold white outline around it that says back up. Is this the right one?

It's a 7.5 amp fuse.

As Silverknight says, third one from the left in this picture:

IIRC, it's actually the second one on our cars, because that 10 amp fuse at the far left is a DRL fuse for Canuckian cars.
