Sorry- but I am new to this- and it all sounds confusing- except for the excellent directions from WSB. I'd like to do the Cascade loop- That group leaves at 10???

Yes, be at the former Mervyn's parking lot by 10. I think there'll be about a half dozen cars or so.

If anyone is still looking for a room, my friend Rich (G35) has an extra sofa pull-out bed in his room.
Rich has informed me that the extra space has been spoken for.

I was referring to WSB's "Route B" idea for the long ride ("I hate interstates AND Mt Vernon route"). Not "Group B" as in the folks doing the I-90 route.

So my question still stands... do those going on the long route need to pack their own lunch? Is there a scheduled lunch stop?

We'll stop in Arlington (probably a bit after 11am) and top off fuel and grab some chow there. It may be fast food - there is a cluster with BK, McD's, and Subway to choose from. Or we can sit down somewhere. We can discuss it tomorrow when we know who is all going with us.

Personally I'll probably make a big breakfast and grab some munchies.

After Arlington, there is basically NOTHING until Winthrop which I believe is about 3 1/2 hours.

That's not fair. Good thing it's not a Double out, then I would really go insane.

So much to learn, young one....

There is pretty good pizza to be had in Concrete, at Annie's Pizza Station (you miss this with your route, however).

There are also excellent burgers to be found in Marblemount, at the Marblemount Cafe (aka. the place with the "Good Food" sign).

And the Cascadian Farms shack near Rockport has excellent snacks flavored by their own berries.

(It's been a couple years since I have been to any of those places, though.)
