Dec. 8 Vancouver -- Seattle Meet
#52
Hi,
I'm a recent purchaser of a silver/red S2000, 00' with 7K. I live on Whidbey Is. and saw this thread. It would be fun to meet with all of you if I can to share your ideas/mods on this great car! Can you give me the details? Thanks.

Hey Steve -- right now I think all we got is a date (Dec. 8) and a general loc'n (parking lot/garage of some sort). Jerry (jerrypeterson) is the organizer and he'll post the details when he gets back from Utah.
Welcome and see you soon!

Welcome to the Board...from the east coast. We visited your neat island summer 2000 (rental car...w/o s2k ) and enjoyed the Island County Fair (Lovin Spoonful on stage...fun for us boomers)

Steve1 - Good to have you aboard! You may find some excitement around your car at the meet, as you are the first '02 showing interest. Let me know if you can make it to the meet. We'll be meeting at either 11am or at noon in Redmond. I'll post final details after I check my work email. I am a little frazzled right now, since I just got back from Utah, and had a wonderful experience at SeaTac this morning. I need a few hours to unpack and regroup.
Yes, gang I am back in style: I've been up 32hours straight. I went to a Goth club in Salt Lake City, last night. Did I mention the DJ booth was in the Pulpit of the Church? Yeah, the club was in an old church. Too Cool...
If anyone is wondering why they have closed the airport, I have no idea. My flight was one of the last to land after they shut down all of the gates.
DSR - The 959? My security contact has given me a few stories worth swapping.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome. I used to be a Miata owner and the club was fun; lots of friendly people and great drives. I was hoping that there was some kind of local group. Are you as much fun as they were?
pas2k- Whidbey Is. is that kind of place where I feel rural life blends in with city culture; Lovin' Spoonful at the co. fair and more art galleries than you can visit in a day. I love living here.
Hope to see you all soon.

I haven't ever owned a Miata, but I can't imagine having more fun in a car club. The local owners are the bomb, and there is always something going on. Make a showing at the meet, and you'll understand what I am talking about.
