7 years owning my S I had it mentioned a couple of times but never a ticket. Mentioned once from a meter maid and a couple times for speeding infractions. One time driving through mill creak I had a sno county sheriff pull up next to me at 45mph and shout out his window asking me about it which I thought was pretty funny. I shrugged my shoulders and told him I didn't know, he replied "well get one on there!" I gave him the nod and thumbs up lol He took the next turn off.

i got pulled over once at 3 am... cop flipped around and followed me for a few miles, then asked if id been drinking? i said no and asked why he pulled me over, he said i had no front plate... so played dumb and got a warning.... still have no front plate

it seems like they just use it as a reason to pull you over and check your papers

You will eventually get a ticket unless you're real lucky. Got pulled once coming back from Pullman and once in Federal Way. My dad got pulled over in his 650i and he doesn't even have mounting holes...but they gave him a warning.

Just put it on, its not worth the $85 penalty...unless ure running boost and absolutely need the extra cooling
