Coilover installion
Just got some coilovers for my s2000 and I was wondering if anyone is free this weekend to help me out. I have a little experience with suspension, but I don't feel that comfortable. If anyone wants to help, that would be great. I may have a lift and some tools up in Kirkland if I can get in contact with my friend. So any knowledge about installion can help too.
Thanks

go check out DIY section. i did mine long time ago and it's very easy. there are only about 10 nuts (including lug nuts) you need to pull for each coil over then replace it with new one and TORQUE it down properly. it shouldnt take you more than 2 hours even if you dunno what you are going.
pm the address and time. i can't guarantee you i will be there but if i can i will.

It would have been nice to have had a second person there for a couple of the steps in the installation, but I managed to do it by myself.
Remember to get the wheel into the approximate "loaded" position before doing the final tightening of the control arm bolts, to avoid preloading the bushings.

Thanks mike for the heads up and KimChi for the offer. But I guess another s2k member on here is helping me out tomorrow. Anyone know how the bump stops look like on the stock suspension? does it look something like this? (but not not cut of course)
Im planning on using the stock bump stops

Pretty strait-forward installation, you'll see once you get in there.
Not sure what the stock bump stops are like (don't remember), but I would order new ones from Ground Control anyway - - I think they might be around $12.
The only trouble I had was with the passenger rear - I think. The top bolts were hard to get to in the trunk, and the bottom bolt was seized to all-hell. Broke two sockets and made 3 trips to Sears for breaker bars and the such.

No, the person who had it crack the bump stops in the fronts and in the backs, there was not one found. I didnt want to use the stock ones because they don't fit well. So I have to wait a week for the parts. $75 for four rubber piece! so ridiculous.. but whatever.
