Default Car's fixed.

I've never heard a broken axle THAT loud. Ever. Broke the spider in 2, the grinding was the axle splines spinning inside it. Ray hugely helped me out tonight. We scavenged part of his bum axle to rebuild mine. Turns out I didn't need a diff.
He helped me out so much through this whole thing with tools, and axle rebuilding and spotting me a diff, etc. I owe ya big time, man.

Thanks to Kelvin and Jerry for comin' and helping me spot the problem too, and huge thanks to Mike (White STI guy who comes out to Tacos sometimes) for dropping 2 diffs and keeping me from decapitating myself. I felt really guilty that he kept doing all the heavy lifting. I'd have been hosed without everyone's help.

All is well, car runs. Everyone's happy. Someone needs to go to Chaplins and buy my S so it stays in the family. I'm gonna miss it.

Guess the diff didn't work. My only other option is trans. I hate cars.

*grumble*

Cool. Someone is suggesting it might just be an axle... but i'm not so sure. Gonna do some investigation and figure out what is blown since apparently I bought ray's 900.00 diff for nothing. Will let you know when i know better.

A rather expensive opportunity for a joke when you think about it.
