car got broken into by the space needle
i dont post here very often but just wanted to warn everyone about my luck in seattle
my softop has been slit in seattle almost 3 years ago from today
fast foward a couple years and my front end has been hit in the middle of the night. i got the lic place number (pretty good memory) but no luck
fast forward to an hour ago, just got off the phone with the police and insurance agent about my hardtop being stolen. my window was shattered, car keyed and my escort was stolen( as far as i know, it was really dark out)
I just got off the phone with esurance and got alot of unanswered questions. now im getting really nervous if my hardtop is covered or not. I did buy it brand new two years ago at a honda dealership and should have all my records. I know that factory wheels (if you upgraded for what ever vehicle) are covered under oem accesories but are hardtops covered? when i was shopping for insurance i was really penny pinching as i am a self employed 21 year old with 1 ticket (5 over on 405.....) and still paying 300+. I have a very high deductable (1000, ehh i guess it could be worst). does anyone else have any expirience with this? or with esurance with that matter? i switched insurance carriers just under 6 months ago from state farm to save on cost.
i really hope it doesnt rain tonight, i actually live in bellevue and im still waiting for the police to show up. last time my car was vandalised, it took seattle police 6 hours to get here.

You're supposed to take escorts up to your bedroom with you!
Seriously though, sorry to hear about your car getting broken into. Hope the insurance company doesn't try to screw you but at least you have receipts. Good luck!

Makes me wonder if the hardtop on CL was yours?
He posted it early this morning, I contacted him via text around 7. We exchanged a few messages, I then ask where he livs [meaning specific city] and if he could meet any closer and he vanished. About 20 minutes later I sent him another message asking if he wanted to sell it, he instanlty responds so I tell him I'm super interested coming from portland and ask if he could meet any closer and again he vanished. I stopped messaging after that.
Mid way through the text I try and call and cant accept calls.

yeah i kinda put A and B together this morning, contacted the police and let them know. yes i can identify my hardtop. I told the officer the "specific detail" and he said its as good as a vin number.
the ht is gone on cl, he doesnt take calls, never returned text.
time to move on...
