Sounds like you are afraid of "catching the gay?" Last I checked it wasn't contagious. Commonly latent, but not contagious. Homophobia is tantamount to the legal definition of racism these days. I'd be careful advertising your medieval belief system.
Give me a break, Don King

Calling me homophobic is outright wrong. Everyone has a right to practice whatever sexual preference their heart desires as long as it's legal. You won't see gay-fearing fundamentalists touting that statement.

Like I said before, it's not an issue of sexual orientation for me. I'd prefer not to have a female officer frisk me and most women would prefer not to have a male officer frisk them. It's a personal choice, it is not homophobic.

It just gets better and better....

Let's see; you think that gays should not be allowed to be cops. Or should not be allowed to frisk you. Or something. But they certainly shouldn't be allowed near you.

But you're not homophobic.

Where this analogy breaks down is you don't want male officers frisking you either. Maybe you just hate law officers and got your wires crossed at some point.

I didn't mischaracterize anything you said.

Your statements, which speak for themselves and don't need any "mischaracterization" to be repugnant, clearly exhibit homophobic opinions.

Yes, homophobia is a personal choice. An ugly one, but a choice.

It is a pejorative term. Properly used in this case.

Well, to be fair, I'm not really eager to frisked by the cops. Male, female, straight, gay, canine, whatever. I'd rather not be in that position at all.

This entire paragraph is a mischaracterization since those are not my thoughts and I do not agree with them whatsoever.

And I really don't appreciate being called names by someone I don't know. Since you're an active and contributing member, I'm surprised you would stoop to that level.

You see, here's where we part ways. It makes no difference to me -- I would rather not be frisked at all. If I were frisked, though, I would want it to be professional and painless and legitimate -- no matter who the cop was that was doing it.

But I'm not especially worried that a gay male or straight female cop is going to frisk me just for the fun of it. At least, no more worried than that a straight male cop would either.
