Yeah, I've heard from a lot of people that R4S pads won't survive tracking.

For track pads I rather like the Performance Friction 97 compound. Had excellent results with them at Bremerton. Only complaint is that they dust like crazy...

Ananda, give EBC Green Stuff's a try ............ I use them on the street and think they'd handle the track better than stock pads so you might be able to get away with it for now. They're cheap too, BONUS!

guys, long time no post. hey optikal.. i took my car to track once just 2 weeks ago.... and for next track time.. i'm thinking about some upgrade too.. but not sure to upgrade what..

maybe we can discuss a bit. i got suspension only... maybe some brake pads... not sure.. or maybe work on some cooling system... any suggestion?

The fact that you are asking that question tells me the first thing you need to upgrade is the wheel nut. Fix the nut behind the wheel before you do anything else.

Spend your money on track time, and once you have enough of that you'll know what (if any) mods you need.
