Axle Click
#32
well i havent been able to get it done here in vancouver. different community + no tools at home = ####ed.
do dealers perform TSBs?
How much do you think a regular Honda specialty shop would charge?
I am afraid it'd be stupid for me to buy a container of grease and whatnot to use it once.

Sometimes depending on how cool they feel like being that day. I would try taking your car to the Honda dealer and tell them that your axle nuts are too lose, your getting the clicking and you want them re torqued to the updated higher trq spec which is 221flbs vs the old 183 or what ever it was. you can always ask them afterward if they will float this. If so they can and may just re torque your old nuts and re peen/lock them. It works fine and its free, otherwise they are suppose to charge about an hours labor if I remember correctly ($80) but when I went into Honda of Kirkland for the 10th time to have this done they would just charge me $30 and call it a brake inspection/service. I hate dealers generally but they have a bit of room to work with you if you develop a good report with one of the service reps there. Like everything I find in life, you get treated as well as your attitude and demeanor dictates. Good luck.
