Default Autocross at Everett on Sunday, 7/31

I haven't done an autocross in a while, having been busy and generally discouraged about the loud sucking sound that emanated from me every time I do an autocross.

Nevertheless, having taken the Evolution school, and perhaps having retained a tiny bit of what they threw my way, and being emboldened by the 100+ runs I got in two days at Evolution, I'm back in the saddle.

Who's in for Sunday?

don't forget this:

ACE Ladies' Practice
July 30th, 2005
Boeing Everett West

Hey gals - c'mon out and run!

The ACE Ladies' Practice is a chance for women to practice their driving
and autocross skills in a non-competitive, women-only event. Men are
welcome to attend as workers (with a probable chance to drive during any
breaks or after the gals are finished). If we get enough men to work, the
women can concentrate only on driving and thus get more out of their day.

Ladies: This will be a day for you to drive as you see fit - slow, fast,
doesn't matter! NO ONE will laugh at you for going slow. We've all been
there ourselves! Come on out, meet some great folks, have a fun time,
learn how your car feels when you go fast or turn hard, or get lots of
seat-time in before your next big event.

The day will have a casual schedule, with the ability to hop into and out
of grid for food breaks, mechanicals, or swapping cars and drivers. We'll
try to make sure the guys get to rotate through jobs, and we'll discuss
taking a lunch break or not. Bring a sack lunch, get more seat time!

Cost: $20.00 per female driver
Register/pay on site only

Schedule:

9:00am - Registration and Tech Open
10:00am - Reg/Tech close, driving begins. Ladies, start your engines!
~3:00pm - Ladies finish driving. (Actual time to be determined at event
based on weather, participation levels, driver enthusiasm, etc)
~3:00pm - Open driving for anyone who worked a substantial portion of the
practice (availability/eligibility up to the event chair).
~5:00pm - Course is reset for Sunday, van is packed up.

After event social: Somewhere with lots of good food and beverages!
(undetermined)

We welcome any assistance with the practice - if you want to help out a
specific position, please contact Susan Collicott at camel@drizzle.com.
Otherwise, just show up and we'll put you to work!

See you on Saturday, July 30th!

I might come and help to Saturday, but not sure if it will be worth it (free runs wise) if I'm gonna be going sunday anyway.

EDIT: Just read the other thread and I'm definately going both days.

i don't think the plug will be a problem if you've been using the car on the street.

mark - you'd be one wnba center lady. they told me that last year the guys who worked the cones had some much seat time at the end of the event they got tired and quit running.

I think the plug will be fine too. I ran on a plug once and it was fine. I think Ananda has tracked on a plug too.
