Default Any reputable diff shops around Seattle?

I have been calling around to several differential shops (Northwest Transmission, Kings, Stage) and all have been quoting around $1000 to install 4.77's. It seems the best route would be to just go with Puddymod for that price. Has anyone had their diff worked on at any of these shops? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's ridiculous pricing.

GL on finding a better rate. I'm not in the area to know a shop up there for you.

FYI Went there earlier just to see how much just for a diff install, $350 is what the quoted me at. I have an ap2 diff with a 4.44 gear set sitting in my garage that i've been lazy to install.

Looks like Stage. I've been there before for other stuff. Good people. Thanks for the tips.

theres a ring and pinion place in everett off of....airport way? they seem to mostly do trucks but a honda LSD is the same as any other rear end (i know, torsion vs something else) they should know what to do or where to go that specializes in smaller diffs.

^ Randy's Ring and pinion? That might be the place, I haven't lived in WA for 7 years but I recall doing jeeps/toyota trucks at Randy's Ring and Pinion, GREAT shop. Slightly high prices though. The other thing is they have far less car experience than trucks.

I did the puddymod stage 1.5+ and swapped the diff myself. The hardest part was waiting 3 weeks for the turnaround time.

Ya, I was considering changing mine being that I'm going to as high as 800hp at some point.

I can easily change the diff myself, that's a walk in the park but the cost and waiting is a bitch.

I'm curious how you like your 1.5 way. Have you had it on a road course yet?
