Default All Season Tires

Just wanted to get some people's opinions as to which all season tires are good to drive on. Personally id rather stick with my SO2's but seeing that I use my S as a DD to commute from Federal Way to Redmond, I don't think driving on 20% tread in the rain is the best thing to do. Any ideas?

-Thanks guys =]

I've had good luck with Michelin Pilot A/S and for really cheap but decent tires - the Conti Extreme A/S was decent as well.

You are right to not want to use the S02s.

Many of us used to prefer the S03s for PNW conditions, but they don't make that tire now. (Sorry I can't be of more specific help, though. All my tires now are RA1s, which I wouldn't really recommend for your commute either.)

wonder why you would want the A/S tires, they are compromise anyway and shouldn't be fit on S2k. if you want cheap tires, DZ101 is good, Kumho SPT isn't bad either. and then get a set of snow tires for winter.

I have the dunlop Z1 star spec and they are absolutely amazing and they weren't as expensive as the bridgestone tires either. (never a fan of Bridgestone for it's performance/$. value)

the new sumitomo htrziii are amazing. i like them better than the kumho spt's. but the spt's are a good tire as well.

they both come in at a great price point too.

yea, for the most part id rather avoid All season tires because I honestly love the grip the SO2's give me, its just i need something that can handle rain at the same time haha

i really appriciate all the feedback from everyone =]

if rain is what your concern, GET the z1 star spec.... It's proven by me at the track and also drives on interstate and Mt. roads. You will not disappointed.

It might bear keeping in mind that it actually snows around here sometimes. If you're going to do a significant commute with this car in the snow, I (but not Ray ) would want to use real snow tires. I've been using Blizzak LM22/25 tires for the last four winters; they're great in all conditions the winter throws our way, and much, much better in snow/ice than any all season tire. If you're going to buy tires for the winter only, why not buy real winter tires?
