spotted the ricetastic and confused ap1 s2000 with the awesome cf hood and sweet ap2 front aero on NE 8th st today on very nice 16" factory wheels.
...looks even worse in person.
i had to return the craptastic apple powerbook (QC ain't so great on these units) and them so called apple geniuses... more miss than hit.
i was in my jeep cherokee. damn i love driving this car!

out of curiousity, what store did you buy it from and was it a 15?
i had the 15" ultimate, but turns out a lot of the hi-res 15s have this weird display issue. subtle, but noticeable. i had the 12 for a bit, but sold it cuz i really liked the hi-res screens. the 12 is at 1024x768 which is a bit ghetto visually.
so i said fuq all that and spent a bit more for the 17" hi-res. i think 15 is the ideal size, but i'm not so much minding the extra real estate of the 17. plus this mac is for pure personal use. i prefer my windows machine for work (travel).
my personal experience tells me apples have their bad apples, too.
i haven't seen too many S2000s around the bellevue area as of late (staying on topic)
