to the Seatac Police department. Very easy procedure. Call - make an appointment and you're done in less than 30 minutes. Very easy CPL application (my old one had gone a bit beyond the 90 day expiry.

Going there was way more pleasant than King County admin (and cheaper since it's about $12/hr to park downtown)

Having lunch next week @ Southcenter. Probably won't be bringing the H&K though.

Z, are you implying there is some sort of violation of employee's Second Amendment rights or something?
Right or wrong, employers can ban firearms in the workplace ....... I'm not clear if they can keep you from having a firearm in your car, locked, parked in their lot though.
Not implying anything necessarily. I never really gave it much thought. I often carry with it in the car but rarely carry it on my person. If I ever spent much time in shady areas like, oh, I don't know, southcenter mall I'd probably carry more than 1

I haven't ever been nervous in Richmond Beach

The 'locked in your car in the parking lot' part seemed a stretch to me, but given there was an employee that went postal and killed a few people in the Chicago office (old job), I think the rent-a-cops took it pretty serious. I know a few (legal) gun transactions took place across the street.

It's a fireable offense at my company also. Can southcenter, or any mall for that matter, legally be a gun-free zone? what kind of holsters do you guys use?
