As far as I know it is safe for me to carry at work, but I don't. Guns and scrubs don't seem to mix well.

A lot of companies have pretty specific rules about firearms on their property.

I don't really know. My last job (Indiana) specifically stated having a firearm on company premises (even if it was locked in a case in the trunk of your car) was a fireable offense. I don't know what my current employer's policy is.
