12 guage short barrel with trap load and big magazine. Mossberg stainless pump gun with a pistol grip will solve all problems.

It's an easy weapon to shoot and has the ultimate psychological effect with the pump. Better than any wimpy pistol and ladies love them.

Thanks for the info there. Appreciate it, i'll do some more research. So my assumption is that the 5.56 = 223 is that correct?
............... and for the most part .308 = 7.62 (have a field day hair splitters) as long as the chamber headspacing (which you should check before buying) is within the .308 spec (cheaper ammo ). For the purposes of this discussion, I was referring to weapons technically chambered for 7.62 in my recommendations but the cool guys "in the know" just call it 308 (me and dr Drew Strangelove are talking about the same weapons).

Ok hairsplitter, I didn't even bring that tasty bit up. Most of the semi auto versions on the street are chambered for the larger .308 dimensions. For those looking in the private market, look for a stamp on the barrel, for no issues you want to see .308WIN on the side, either type of ammo will work. If it says 7.62NATO or 7.62X51 you must be aware of what ammo you are using because .308 ammo will create an unsafe condition.

I think just handing Ray a weapon is creating "an unsafe situation", but maybe that's just me.

Maybe we should have a rifle range day some time? I haven't fired a rifle in years. Might be fun.
