The weather is really variable (at least in the Adirondacks, anyway) when looking at it from this far out. Right now, I see partly sunny for Saturday... so there you go.

One thing about this outing... for maximal enjoyment, I find it is a really good idea to get started from Ottawa EARLY (like 5AM at the latest). That allows for ( a ) more time driving (and hiking or whatever), ( b ) a much faster border crossing (most people are pretty lazy and don't get up early so there is no line up at all), and ( c ) less traffic in the twisties.

It will be a more rushed schedule if we leave late. Of course, majority rules, so I will tailor things accordingly!

...Andrew

P.S. Hi, Darcy... nice seeing you around town, too!

I'm game to leave at 4 or 5 am....I agree I think that maximizes the fun so I agree and will plan to leave early

Hey I just read this a little more thoroughly.

I've been up ampersand mountain once before, it's "small" but was resonably tough when I did it it was raining and cold and crap but it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't want to do anything more grueling than that.
