Default Memorial Day at Calabogie

I am about to pull the trigger on a COMSCC event up at Calabogie on the Monday and Tuesday of Memorial Day weekend. Is anyone up there going? If not, are there any happenings going on up there that weekend that I should come up early for (meets, drives, etc )?

I'll be coming up from Philadelphia, so this should be a fun international adventure for me

More info on the event here: http://www.comscc.com

Can't make that I'll be in Alabama at the Rick Barber school.

You'll love Calabogie though, awesome track.

From what I see, it looks awesome. Only 40 cars signed up too, so there should be a lot of time to run

You will enjoy Calabogie. It is a challenging track to find the right lines. All the crests have blind corners, almost all the braking zones are are slightly curved. It's a mid-speed track, but has a lot of interesting corners, although our cars don't seem to be geared right for the low speed corner complex.

Are you up for the weekend and the Monday/Tuesday?

Check out the Calabogie website

Here is a preview with one of my laps from April 23 to go with wing's video.

I almost forgot. There is a 93 dB noise limit for CMP on the 2/3 rev range test and they do on track monitoring as well. If you have an Invidia or one of the louder single's, you might be close to the noise limit.

It's 93db on track but 104db at 2/3 throttle off track. I was fine with a T1R 70mm but no intake. I passed last year with my intake but didn't want to chance it on track.

If you have an aftermarket exhaust with a silencer, bring the silencer just in case.

Thanks for the data. I'll comb through it later, but at first glance it looks a lot like Shenandoah down here at Summit Point. I have 4.77's, so maybe that'll help the gearing situation.

All I have is an HKS dual, so I should be gold as far as noise.

I am planning right now on coming up for the entire weekend. Hell, if I am going to drive 8 hours, I'll turn it into a mini vacation. I'll probably leave first thing Saturday morning and spend Saturday night, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday up there. I'll camp at the track probably

If anyone is close and wants to grab a steak and , let me know

Are you sure you can camp at the track? The place is pretty new so I'm not sure you can actually do that or not.

I'll be around on the weekend.

I read somewhere that there is camping at the track, can't find it now. I am sure they will at least have bathrooms, which is good enough to brush my teeth and take a bird bath .

wing, how'd you like to grab some lunch/dinner/beer that weekend?
