Default Alignment

Hi guys. I just got a call from Dow Honda that even though my car has been there all day, they just discovered that they can't do an alignment on my car. They had originally told me 18" rims were not a problem.

Any ideas where I can take the car?

Is your car lowered? A lot of places require you to get on a lift with ramps. Is that what Dow Honda is complaining about?

I got an alignment last week at Frisby Tire on Merivale. If you are not lowered, I recommend Paul. He's been doing this for 20 years and does alignment for some race teams. He'll let you sit in the car (to weight it properly) while he does the alignment too.

If you're up for a drive to Gatineau . . . Pneu Lavoie. Ask for Simon, alignment is all he does. He dials the car to your spec.

I think was he was saying is that the equipment couldn't adjust wide enough to fit on 18" rims....

or perhaps that the nose of the car blocks the laser that shoots across (that happened to me once)

I talked to my contact at Frisby Tire and he mentined that the Industrial location is probably the best equipped to do alignments.

Well I'm not sure I NEED one, but I just bought new rubber and I'm willing to invest in the alignment just in case. DOW has just been giving me the run around; first they say they can, then they say they can't, then call me back saying they can and rebook me, and then finally call me and now say they can't haha. Anyways, the Honda guy recommended Frisby but what the hell does he know. The car isn't lowered so hopefully that keeps most of my options open.

Last year I got one done at Commercial Tire. After the alignment guy finished, he was all excited telling me how cool it was to align my car cuz it had all this stuff he could adjust that other cars didn't. So he obviously never aligned an S2000 before which made me feel great.

Anyways, thanks for the advice.
